The entrepreneur who’s reinterpreted mobile payments Article

The life of a serial entrepreneur is an unforgiving and intense roller coaster ride. One man who has enjoyed success this ride more so than others is Square Co-Founder Jim McKevley. Despite setting up numerous companies including Mira Inc, STL Programs, Inc, Third Degree, LLC, SixThirty, LaunchCode, & Square to name a few, McKevley doesn’t believe he has the skill set to run businesses. In an interview with Stratland News McKevley said, “I don’t believe my skill set is good for sustained execution. It’s just not my DNA”.

McKevley may not be one for running the day to day, however he is undoubtedly someone who has succeeded in multiple endeavours, one of the most notable being Square. Square describes itself as “one service for your entire business, from secure credit card processing – including Apple Pay & EMV – to point of sale solutions”. Square has become a unique and forward thinking mobile payments solution and McKeveley is in part responsible for the innovative and convenient structure of the Square Platform.

Now McKevley heads to Apps World North America to lead his session on the Mobile Retail & Fintech conference (May 12). As a pioneer of one of the most creative and visionary mobile payment platforms to come out of Silicon Valley, you know this session cannot be missed. Jim brings with him years of experience and will be ready to take on any questions..
